Dr. Clifford E. Turner is an avid film producer, director and writer. In 1985, he founded HOLYWOOD Studios and Gospel Theatre; a highly recognized Christian owned Media Company and dramatic work producer in the genres of theater, film radio, television. Always concerned about improving the quality of life for people’s lives; Dr. Turner’s mission is promoting positive lifestyles, reforming mindsets and changing lives through liberal arts.
Turner’s first feature film M.A.D. (Misdirected and Dangerous) was a true story based upon his own life experience growing up with gangs on the south side of Chicago. He has produced hundreds of television dramas and stage plays. His most accomplished work, The Awakening, began as a short film and evolved into the longest running Christian mini-series ever produced. The Awakening received a Midwest Emmy Award for Outstanding Achievement for an Entertainment Program Series two Angel Awards for Best Series and Producer. This series continues to be seen across America and around the world and now available on DVD.
